1. Submissions
By submitting a film or series to True Continent, you are submitting it for review by our acquisitions team. Submission does not constitute an offer, a guarantee of acceptance, or a binding agreement. We aim to respond to every submission within 30 days.
2. Review and onboarding
Once your film or series has been vetted and approved, you will be contacted by our acquisitions team. They will onboard the title and provide a written agreement for your review and signature. No rights are granted to True Continent until that agreement is signed by both parties.
3. Non-exclusive licensing
All True Continent agreements are non-exclusive. You retain the right to license your work to other platforms, distributors, and broadcasters. Our standard revenue-share terms are 65% of streaming revenue and 70% of licensing revenue paid to the filmmaker, with True Continent retaining the remainder to cover platform, marketing and sales operations.
4. Rights and warranties
By submitting, you confirm that you hold (or are authorised to represent) the rights necessary to license the work, including music, archive and contributor releases. You are responsible for ensuring all underlying clearances are in place before any agreement is signed.
5. Confidentiality of materials
Screeners, loglines, synopses, contact details and supporting materials submitted to True Continent are treated as confidential and used only for the purpose of evaluating and, if accepted, distributing your work. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle personal information.
6. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you sign a distribution agreement is the version that governs that agreement.
